went out for a run and when I turned my watch on it said suggested workout -REST. I was already taking advantage of great weather and going out and had no interest in going back in to rest so I committed to making it a short and easy run. So a good 4km run that was a little bit sluggish and I didnt push myself.
And having surpassed the 800km mark tracked on these shoes, I have officially retired this pair of On Cloudflyers and will run my next run in my new On CloudMonsters. I have a pair of new On CloudSurfers I just got waiting in the wings to be next after the Monsters. Maybe I will alternate rather than run one out. We'll see

one or two more runs and I will rotate these out and retire them, to be replaced by a new pair. good 7.5km run in beautiful weather. Felt good. My shoes really feel like they are at their end.

good 6.5km run, if a bit slow.
When I finished my run, my Garmin watch tells me all sorts of accomplishments, if there are any. After this run it congratulated me for my longest run. Onnthe one hand right now that is an accomplishment. On the other hand, it is a bit sad considering I have run marathons, ultra marathons, long distance relay races, etc, yet now 6.5km is an accomplishment!

good 5.5km run. felt like my fitness is going away so this run was a little tough. Hopefully I will start getting out there more now...

I think I have to change my shoes soon to my next pair. These are starting to feel like they are end of life. 5.5km good run in the middle of the day. There is a storm approaching of rain and very cold weather for the upcoming several days so I wanted to get a run in before the storm. Which is why I didnt bail despite the start of the run giving me some pain/discomfort in my ankle. I almost bailed but pushed on and after a few minutes I guess everything warmed up and stretched out and the discomfort went away and I was able to have a good run

decent 5.5km run. was a little tougher than expected but I got through it ok. It felt like a slowish pace, but my watch got messed up int he middle somehow so I dont have real numbers to compare what I felt like with the reality...

good 3km run. cut short, was planning to run 5.5 but something urgent and time sensitive came up, but it was a good short run

went out for a good 5.5km run. Got back and decided to take the dog out for a 3km run but didnt get that far. We were having a good run but he stopped several times to play or fight with other dogs, and then at some point he was just wiped out and couldn't move any more. After letting him rest for a bit we walked the rest of the way home.

I havent run much in the past 3-4 weeks due to a variety of circumstances but today I finally was able to get back out there. Due to the extended break I decided to just run short and easy to get my running legs back. Also I just got a new watch, the Garmin Forerunner 55, and I am starting to learn how it works, so this was a test run for that.
Felt good running 3 km. Took it easy.

I ran 3km with the dog. good run. Dog had it harder than me, though when running with the dog I run at a faster average pace. today was a bit slower because he stopped a lot and I didnt pause my watch most of the times but in general runs with the dog have been on average at a faster pace

started with a 5.5km run. felt good getting back out there. nice weather, was great. got home and took the dog out for a 3km run. he ran nicely, even at times pretty fast and almost pulling me. He did stop a couple times to pee, to poo and just to sniff the grass or bushes. near the end he just collapsed at one point so I sat with him and let him rest for a few minutes before finishing our run

after 3 days of vacation that included some difficult hiking, scuba diving, and surviving a car crash I went out today for a short run just to stretch and see how my body is doing. Muscles are still sore but not too bad. Joints were a little creaky. Body overall is still tired. I ran 3 and I guess maybe it would be considered a recovery run from my vacation. hopefully it will help my body recover and I'll soon be ready to run regular and longer distances.
