great 6

had a great 6km run. Really fast - almost as fast as yesterday. I pushed hard today even though I felt a little worn out and it was a bit warm. I was on time restrictions so couldnt go any longer, but it was a really good run

amazing 8

After many delays I went out for a run. I was tired so figured I would just go out later. At some point I decided to just go out and struggle through a slow run.

I went outside and bam. I took off. This turned into my fastest run in ages. I ran 8km at a really fast pace and felt great the entire way. Even my typically slow sections were much faster than normal.

My latest route is across Kishon, across the first section of the bridge to RBS C, up Hayarkon to the top, out behind the Dona buildings, down Auerbach St , up to Luz then down Hayarqon back to home.

good 8

for a Motzash run tonight was great. Had a good pace and felt great and strong. Needed a pit stop, but beyond that everything else went pretty well. 8km at a reasonably fast pace.

bonus 8

After waking up early again, despite wanting to sleep a little later than usual today, I got another bonus run in. After watching the end of the Cubs game again (they won!) and then davening, I figured I mighjt as well go for a run. if not now, it wont happen, and I had the time and energy, and, I thought, it was not yet too hot - it is supposed to hit about 106 degrees Farenheit in Bet Shemesh today, but not so early in the morning...so off I went.

Sure enough, it seemed much hotter than what the temperature was reported at. Plus the air felt burnt with a bad smell from the bonfires burnign all night. The air was hot and dry, not much of a breeze and the little breeze there was was warm and not refreshing.

Anyways, i felt good, and while I ran an average pace and it was not a great run from a pace perspective, the entire week actually, it was a good run because I felt fine despite the heat and extended it to 8km despite having planned to run only 5.

Bonus runs are the best!

bonus 5.5

I had kind of given up any expectation of running for the rest of the week. Yesterday I wanted to but it did not work out, and with temperatures soaring today through Friday, it seems irresponsible to expect to run, even if perhaps a run might work out.

But today I woke up earlier than planned. Even after catching the last few innings of the Cubs game (they won!) it was still early enough to go out for a short run, so I did. It was not great - my breathing was uneven and my ankles were feeling wonky. I ran 5.5km at average pace. I'm happy I got it in at all, and I am going to call it a bonus run.

pretty good 7

I wasnt going to run today. After 7 consecutive days of running, with the last few being average to slow, I figured my legs needed a break. Adding that to a lousy day, including sleeping poorly last night so being tired all day, I just figured it is a good day to take off.

Then comes late afternoon with beautiful weather, great temperatures while sunny with a nice breeze, and renewed energy, suddenly feeling much stronger, and I decided I'll go for it.

So out I went and I felt great. I had a fast run and felt great. Pace was good, strides were strong. Overall my pace was pretty fast for 7km.

lead 5

I was going out for a run tonight and was not sure what to expect. I was feeling pretty good, but you never know with Motzash runs. Sure enough, I get out there and it is a typical lousy Motzash run - needed a major pit stop, uneven breathing, legs felt like lead. I was happy to squeek out 5km at a snail-slow pace

hot 7

somehow I keep not being interested in running until it is the hottest part of the day. This morning I was busy and did not really have the energy for it, even though I knew that later it would be too hot and I really should run earlier rather than later. I went out to run at noon, the hottest point of a really hot day.

My kids did not want me to go out - they said it is too hot. My son made me take a water bottle with me. That water bottle is probably why I was able to run 7 instead of just 5 or 6, though I could have gone longer, as I was feeling pretty good, if a bit tired on my 6th consecutive day of running. The last kilometer and a half were slowish, but prior to that I ran at a decent speed. Overall my pace for 7km was average..

ok 6

earlier today, in the late afternoon, I found time to squeeze in a short run. It was still super hot, and I didn't have much time available, but I wanted to get out and run anyway.

So I did.

The run wasn't fast, and I was kind of tired after 5 consecutive days of running, most of the time in the extreme heat, so I was not expecting too much. I got in 5km at a slightly better than average pace. And that's more than I could have asked for.

good 7

After a long day, in which I kept trying to find time to get out for a short run but it kept not working out, I decided to go for a run tonight after my study session, despite it being late, tired, dark, and it might make falling asleep difficult.

I did not expect too much, being tired, but really wanted to go out. My pace was slightly better than average, but not fast. I ran 5, then continued to 6, then 7. I was feeling good enough to continue, though I probably would have slowed down somewhat, but it was late and I do want to go to sleep tonight at some point...

hot 6

Wow, that was hot!

Between the heat and being tired, I expected a really lethargic run. I just wanted to get out there and sweat and get some sun and fresh air. I was not expecting anything even close to a good run, from a running perspective.

Sure, I enough. I matched probably my fastest time in years, and definitely in the past year. I dont know how but I ran really well. As I was approaching 6km, I suddenly felt very tired and my legs felt like rubber. I pushed on to hit 6 but felt no need to push to extend it at a slower pace, as I had already gotten my share of sun and sweat and had a fast pace to boot.

hot 5

I knew it was hot, but thought it was already starting to cool off enough to make a run bearable. My mistake.

While I had a great 5+km run at a fast pace, I couldn't continue. I was wiped from the heat. The next portion would have been uphill, so even to extend it to 7 or 8km, in this heat on that uphill, was too much for me to consider....

good 6

getting back into lazy mode. After a few days of not running, I seem to be able to find every little excuse to not run. This morning I had to push myself to go out for a run before it would get too hot, as the forecast has the entire week being unusually hot for the time of year. It took a lot of effort but I really want to get back to my routine so I forced myself out.

I had a better-than-expected 6km run. The pace was pretty fast, though near the end I felt like I was losing steam so decided to call it a day. After being lazy with my running for the past few weeks, I really need to work on building things up again

good 5

I had a good 5km run this afternoon. It was warmer than expected, as I thought it had already significantly cooled down, but it hadnt really... I wore out quickly. Finished 5km with a fast pace, but the last km was a struggle and I chose not to continue...

Motzash 5.5

For a Motzash run it was surprisingly not lousy. Yes, it was slow. Yes I was uncomfortable. Yes, I was short of breath. But overall the run was still solid and stable, despite all that. I ran, slowly, but kept running, and didn't have to stop, didn't struggle, didn't need a pit stop or three. Finished at 5.5km at a slow pace

lazy 6

I was feeling so lazy I did everything I could to avoid going out to run, even though I really wanted to run. Even when I finally pushed myself out the door, my 2 minutes of stretching turned into 5 or 6 minutes before I made myself start to run.

The run was basically a lazy run. I did not really push myself at any point, and even walked a tiny bit at a couple of points of inclines.

Overall my pace for 6km was about average, which was surprising as I thought it would be really slow. a couple kilometers were fast and a few were slow, so I guess it came out to average. whatever
