not a bad run for a recovery run. 5km at a slow pace, felt strong enough but a bit uncomfortable tonight and a bit heavy

had a good 8km run today that was ok.
The run itself was good, though some things around it were weird or didnt work out the way they normally do, so it was ok overall. My muscles were sore, which makes no sense because two weeks off is nothing in the scheme of things and shouldnt be enough to cause any significant deterioration of fitness. Maybe my form now is slightly different than it was before the two weeks off so muscles are being used now that werent before. That is a real possibility. I forgot my hat and only noticed half a kilometer in and didnt feel like going back to get it, so by mid-run my sweat was pouring into my eyes and my glasses were fogging up. The run felt slow and painful, but was really a decent pace and painful. My arm band holding my phone was slipping down a lot, and my new bone conducting earphones were being drowned out by passing buses and trucks.
Whatever. Either way the run itself was good.

After about two weeks off I finally got back out there this morning. 6.5km at a good pace. Felt really good but in the middle I suddenly felt worn out like I had been running too fast too soon. Good weather with crisp air.
I am not planning to start another run streak, but if it happens it happens. As always I just plan to go out for a run whenever possible.
and just like that the running streak comes to an end. I wont be running for the next ten days or so. I dont have any injuries that are preventing me from running, so thank God for that, but external factors do not make it possible it right now.

Today's run was blah. I didnt want to get out of bed. I didnt want to get myself ready. I didnt want to go out. I did everything possible to delay. I woke up feeling tired, lazy and stiff.
But out I went. The run itself was ok. I ran my regular 5km but put no major effort into it - I just ran slow and steady and did not try to do anything special - I wasnt working on my form or trying to run faster or anything. I just ran it to run it.
On a day like this, just getting out is a win

This morning brought me a very good 9km run. I felt strong and unlike the other day, today's strong run actually had me running a decent pace. Still enjoying good weather, tfoo tfoo tfoo

Had a good 7.5km run this morning with a friend.
We ran out again on Eliyahu Hanavi St on the edge of RBS Gimmel. We split up by the top of Yarmuth Park an I ran back down through the park. Good uneventful run.

good 7.5km run. Felt strong. I was actually surprised to see how slow I was running (pretty much my normal speed today), as I felt strong and it felt as if I was having a fast run/ But it wasn't.

had a good 5km run. Very good for a Motzash. It was slow but I felt good despite the remaining stiffness from Friday's long run.

Ran a very good 17km this morning. The last couple of kilometers were tough, especially since I miscalculated the route in my head and had been planning a 15km run.
I ran a different route, one I have been thinking about for a while but have been too cautious to attempt. I started my regular route and when i got to the top of Park Yarmuth, I turned right, along the road at the edge of RBS Gimmel that I ran yesterday with Victor. This time I ran it to the end and then turned left and ran on the new road out to the 375. It actually came out further west than I had remembered, so my run back was longer than planned. That road is blessed with a nice bike lane alongside it, upon which I ran. When i hit the 375, I turned left to run back to the 10 and then RBS. I saw some of my running friends out, along with seeing a couple of snails and a beautiful fox or jackal that was sadly fresh roadkill.
The weather was beautiful with crisp fresh air, clean and fresh after the recent rains. The route along the edge of Gimmel, much of which was a boardwalk, along with the road down to 375, was beautiful with beautiful views.
Good run, reasonable pace. pushed past what I thought my limit was.
Here are some of what I saw today:

This was a longer run than expected or planned, and it happened because I met up with my old running buddy and we ran together. First time in a couple of years. Running with a partner is very different than running alone.
It was pouring rain all night long and stopped shortly before we were supposed to meet up. After confirming that we were still going to run, I headed out and we met up. We ran out in an area I never ran before.
After meeting by the traffic circle of Yarden-Yarqon, we ran out on the street opposite, above the park and out towards Gimel and Daled. I don't know the name of that road, but we just stayed ion it for a few kilometers. I had never before run that far out on the road, and it really had some beautiful views of the mountains. After a few kilometers we turned and ran back. We split up when we got back to our starting point and I ran home, finishing at 7.5km. The plan was originally 5, in between Wednesday's medium run and Friday's long run. We'll see how it affects tomorrow's run.

Had a good 5km run this morning at a reasonable pace. I actually wanted to run 6 or 7 and was feeling great so really wanted to keep going but I forced myself to end it at 5 so as to save it for a slightly longer run tomorrow. Wednesday run is always more priority than a Tuesday run.
So far missing the rain, but eventually this running streak will come to an end and it will likely be because of inclement weather.

Had a good run this morning. I didn't know if it would happen or not. Last night the thunderstorms started and are supposed to continue for a few days. I did not know what would happen if I woke up and found it raining hard - would I go out or not? I run in the rain, but usually those are light rains that start after I am already out running. I rarely go out into the rain, let alone a heavy rain. But, it is moot, as I woke up and it was not raining.
So I had a good run. Everything felt fine, pace was ok, and I pushed it to 6.5km

another slow run. everything was sore and stiff. This run was exactly 12 hours from last night's run. a slow 5km run.
